       Aims of the Garden

  • Produce fresh, seasonal food grown locally by the community
  • Build strong neighbourhood relationships
  • Create healthy recreational opportunities for residents of all ages
  • Provide learning opportunities for Camdenville Public School pupils
  • Reduce the food miles of the food we eat
  • Reduce green waste and pressure on landfill

Master plan

The Master Plan includes;
  • approximately 35 individual garden plots, 2.4m x 2.4m
  • communal planting areas and fruit trees
  • dedicated learning plots for the exclusive use of the pupils of Camdenville Public School

The design is well on its way to being realised with the majority of our raised garden beds already built. Areas still to be developed are the communal meeting area/ building, outdoor learning area, more seating, barbecue facilities, secure storage sheds for tools and equipment, composting bins and worm farms, and a play area for young gardeners.
